Web host Manager

Web host Manager provides an interface to manage your Reseller hosting or Virtual Private Server. You can create individual accounts on VPS, add domains to the VPS and Reseller hosting servers and manage other hosting features with a single interface of Web host Manager.

Basically, Web host Manager offers an administrative panel for managing control panel related task and manage the basic system features. It is a powerful program that offers admin access to work at the backend of cPanel. You can find two types of Web host Manager - one is to manage the reseller hosting and another one manages dedicated and virtual private servers.

 

How does the Web host manager work?

Web host Manager gives you administrative access to the server through the interface and a suite of tools to achieve the following things -

How is it different from cPanel?

The terms Web Host Manager and cPanel mostly used in place of each other but the Web host Manager and cPanel are not the same things. cPanel is for managing particular hosting accounts or any particular domains. Users can manage their hosting and accounts through cPanel. Simply, Web host Manager is to manage cPanel accounts and works as a Super Administrator with an interface and a certain set of tools.

 

WHM has the top tier or root access to the server. The server admin can fully control the features and functionalities of WHM and WHM can fully manage all the cPanel accounts. WHM can be used as an interface to the root user, Reseller, server administrator of the VPS or the dedicated server. Certainly, cPanel is used to manage the hosting accounts which are under the main domain you have purchased.
